2026 Open Hearts, Healing Arts Gala

April 18th, Black-Tie Event

Our black-tie fundraising and recognition event takes place the day after Jane’s Jubilee Celebration. Start with a VIP cocktail hour on Jane’s Estate, mingling with other exciting people from the Open Hearts Foundation community. As the sun sets, our celebration will transform into an elegant night rooted in partnership and purpose.  Collaborative music, exquisite cuisine, and crafted cocktails—set against the coastal breeze and a glowing sunset—will shape an unforgettable ambiance for the evening.

This year, we’re thrilled to introduce exciting, never‑before‑seen artistic collaborations with our nonprofit partners, bringing their healing work to life in powerful new ways. The program will also spotlight two remarkable honorees, Andrea & Stephen Ingle of Creative Kids, El Paso, TX and Laurie Meadoff of CityKids Foundation, NYC, NY. Performers and visual artists from our nonprofit partners will bring their healing work to life, showcasing the powerful impact in arts and mental health that your generosity makes possible.

Meet Gala Honorees
Andrea Gates-Ingle
& Stephen Ingle

Creative Kids
El Paso, TX
Created: 1999
Grant: Resilience Art Project (RAP)

  • Cofounders Andrea & Stephen Ingle have transformed young lives through the arts for over 25 years. They've built a creative sanctuary where children facing adversity gain confidence, resilience, and a powerful outlet for self‑expression.

After the tragic August 3, 2019, mass shooting in El Paso, Andrea and Stephen mobilized quickly to support their community by creating the Resilience Art Project (RAP). It's a trauma‑informed arts program helping youth and families process grief and build cross‑cultural understanding.

We honor Andrea and Stephen as trailblazers who uplift their community through creativity, compassion, and unwavering leadership. Project artwork will be displayed at this years Gala event.

Meet Gala Honoree
Laurie Meadoff

The CityKids Foundation
New York City, NY
Created: 1985
Grant: The Global School of Artivism

  • Laurie Meadoff founded The CityKids Foundation to create a safe, creative space where youth from all backgrounds could develop their voices, build leadership skills, and express themselves through the arts.

The Global School of Artivism initiative, launched with OHF support, blends mental‑health literacy with creative expression. Young people gain trauma‑informed tools to build resilience through storytelling, poetry, visual art, and performance. Reducing isolation strengthens mental‑health outcomes while nurturing and empowering emotional confidence.

We're honored to celebrate Laurie and her lifelong commitment to using the arts to bridge divides and elevate young voices. She's earned global recognition as a transformative leader.
